Q: What kind of events Alvis Photography & Video offers services for?
A: Our main specialty is Wedding service. We also, offer services for various kind of Events (i.e., Celebratory and Corporate)

A: We are doing Weddings and Events on professional level since early 1990-es.
Q: Does Alvis Photography & Video provide videography services?
A: Yes, we do as it is indicated in the business name. To see examples of our videography services, please click the video link in the menu bar.
Q: What kind of products Alvis Photography & Video offers to its clients?
A: We offers various kinds of Wedding and Event custom made Art Books as well as slideshows, Engagement and Bridal albums, Parent albums, etc. Also, we offer Wedding Video Reel for social media such as Facebook, Twitter, etc., Wedding Highlights Video - 12 to 15 min highlights of your Wedding Day, and a Full Size Movie with voiceover and special effects.
BOOKING AN EVENT
Q: How do I reserve my date?
A: All dates are reserved once you book our service and pay $150 as a partial deposit. Booking is easy - Just go to 'BOOK AN EVENT' page, fill a brief form and click on 'SEND' button.
Q: Do you provide any contract for service or is it a verbal agreement?
A: All details of our services, fees, and payment schedule for your Wedding/Event will be indicated in a contract preliminary discussed with the Client. We then, send you an e-Contract for your review and a signature. Once we received the signed contract with the rest of deposit ($$$ less $150) the term of the service(s) starts.
Q: If we cancel the wedding, will we receive our deposit back?
A: Unfortunately, the deposit is not refundable. The deposit is used to reserve your date. Once we’ve reserved your date, we do not accept new clients for your date.
Q: What happens if we go over the contracted amount of time?
A: We understand that things don’t always go as planned, so before we pack up, we will ask you whether or not you would like to extend your time. If you’d like us to stay, we will charge overtime with the rate specified in your contract.
IMAGES / EDITING
Q: How are final images/videos delivered?
A: All final images are delivered in Full Resolution digital Jpeg format, and will be sent through WeTransfer or a Dropbox link.
Q: What rights do I have to the digital prints?
A: You have the right to reprint images whenever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without the written consent of Alvis Photography & Video.
Q: Do you deliver every image you shoot?
A: Each package includes a certain number of Edited images, but the additional images from the day will also be delivered. We take great pride in delivering the best final product, so we do eliminate images such as test shots, missed focus shots, and any other images that aren’t up to our standards.
Q: What is an Edited Image?
A: Every Edited image we deliver is post-produced with our unique signature style of post-production. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, and other corrections.
Q: Can I request an Advanced Edit/Retouch?
A: Advanced post-production includes touch-ups such as removal of blemishes, removal of bags under eyes, removal of fly-away hairs, etc. On the other hand, custom post-production is anything that requires extensive, custom work in Photoshop (or Literoom) such as removing entire objects from the scene, changing the size and shape of body parts or other objects in the scene, adding objects to a scene, and other custom work. We charge hourly for the custom post-production as the time required ranges depending on the complexity of the project. Please contact our event manager for a quote for custom post-production.
PAYMENTS
Q: Is there an additional fee if we pay via credit card?
A: Yes. The retail adjustment fee for all credit card transactions is 3% of the charged amount.
Q: If I pay for my package in cash will we be able to avoid paying sales tax or receive a discount?
A: Unfortunately, collecting in cash does not exempt a photography studio from paying California sales tax on the amount of the package price when a physical product is delivered, whether that product is an album or any other physical product. However, we do offer tax-free services and packages that fall within California State Law if you would like a service-only package.
